This is a high-technology venture-capital-backed company. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will work in a dynamic team developing patent-protected high-performance magnetic screening equipment for medical and security applications.
What you will be doing
As part of a team, you will work on new product design projects across the complete software product development lifecycle covering design, development and verification.
- Translating customer needs into hardware, software/firmware design requirements
- System / Sub-system level design and verification
- Real-time embedded software development for DSP and microcontrollers
- Tablet and mobile app development
About You
We seek an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with commercial experience.
Essential
- Embedded software programming using C and C++
- Object-Oriented programming experience
- Debugging, test and verification experience
- Strong team player, self-starter and committed to success
Desirable
- Programming languages: Python, C# and Java
- Software design and documentation using UML and Doxygen
- Secured wired and wireless communication protocols
- Software configuration and revision control using Jira and GIT
Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science-related subject
- A postgraduate qualification is advantageous
