The Job
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Service Manager to join the company with responsibility for managing the Service and Spares department.
Key Tasks:
- Agree on budgets and objectives with the Director
- Ensure staff follow systems & procedures
- Perform staff performance appraisals
- Liaise with Manufacturers & Suppliers to ensure operation to the highest possible standard for After-Sales Service
- Liaise & visit key customers to build & develop relationships to keep & improve business
- Attend monthly Management Meetings
- Project manage Installation/Warranty on complex lines to ensure satisfactory completion
- Keep invoice queries to a minimum
- Oversee and control a 24-Hour Spares & Service Cover
- Maximise utilisation of Technician's time
- Ensure the promotion of Service & Spares regularly to maximise sales
About You
We are looking for a good mix of the following skills.
- A proven “hands-on” service management background, all industries considered.
- People management skills and experience
- Customer relationship management experience
- Good customer service skills
- Resilient with the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, pressurised environment
- Full UK Driving Licence
